Is it better to take Pre-Nursing/ Pre- requisites to Nursing Classes at Community College or University?

Is it better to take Pre-Nursing/ Pre- requisites to Nursing Classes at Community College or University?

This is a question that a lot of Pre-Nursing students struggle with. For me, I took classes at both Community College and University. There are benefits to both. Most universities offer a priority to those students who take some or most of their classes at that particular university. The benefit of taking classes at community college is that they are a little easier (or at least in my experience). However, my advise to you is to look at the Nursing programs that you want to get into. Then, see if they offer a priority to those students who take classes at that university. For the university that I am attending, the university offered priority to those students that took 3/4 science classes and 12 credit hours of other pre-reqs classes at that university. I made sure to do that and I think that it really helped. Above all, you need to pay attention to your grades. I feel like grades are the most important aspect of getting into nursing school. Whether you take your classes at community or university, make sure to keep a high GPA.

Nursing School Journey

Hello everyone,
I have finished my first semester in nursing school and I want to share tips and advises to those of you who are wanting to become nurses. I know its a hard journey and it's important to have someone to guide and mentor you throughout the journey. Right now, the road to nursing school is very hard. It's a competitive program and schools are looking for the best of the best. Honestly, I love nursing school even through the sleepless nights and the emotional roller coaster. I would love to help and guide those of you who are wanting to become nurses. I am dedicating this blog to my experiences in getting to nursing school and during  nursing school. Please follow me on this journey.
Thank you
